The Good Life Nischelle Renee Turner  is the co-host of  Entertainment Tonight . Previously she was a former entertainment correspondent for  HLN 's  Showbiz Tonight  and  CNN  and an entertainment correspondent for  KNBC  in  Los Angeles . She was a general assignment reporter for  KTTV   Fox  11 from 2004 and to October 2, 2008, and worked as a sideline reporter for Fox's Sunday  NFL  broadcasts, and did segments for a show called  Dailies . Prior to KTTV, she worked for  WEHT , the  ABC  affiliate in  Evansville, Indiana , and for  WVUE , the Fox affiliate in  New Orleans . She is a native of  Columbia, Missouri . She attended the  University of Missouri and graduated from its  Missouri School of Journalism  in 1998. She used to work with either analyst  Kurt Warner  or  Torry Holt  and either play-by-play  Chris Myers ,  Sam Rosen , or  Chris Rose . The Good Life Coretta Scott King  was an American author, activist,  civil rights  leader, and the wife of  Martin Luther King Jr.  As an advocate for  African-American equality , she was a leader for the  civil rights movement  in the 1960s. King was also a singer who often incorporated  music  into her civil rights work. King met her husband while attending graduate school in  Boston . They both became increasingly active in the American civil rights movement. King played a prominent role in the years after  her husband's assassination  in 1968 when she took on the leadership of the struggle for racial equality herself and became active in the  Women's Movement . King founded the  King Center  and sought to make his birthday a national holiday. She finally succeeded when  Ronald Reagan  signed legislation that established  Martin Luther King Jr. Day  on November 2, 1983. She later broadened her scope to include both  advocacies for LGBT rights  and opposition to  apartheid .

The Good Life Sheila Crump Johnson  (born January 25, 1949) is an American businesswoman, co-founder of  BET , CEO of Salamander Hotels and Resorts, and the first African-American woman to attain a net worth of  at least one billion dollars . Johnson is team president, managing partner, and governor of the  WNBA 's  Washington Mystics , a position she earned before the 2005 season. On May 24, 2005, Washington Sports and Entertainment Chairman,  Abe Pollin , sold the Mystics to Lincoln Holdings LLC, where Johnson served as president. She is the first African-American woman to be an owner or partner in three professional sports franchises: the  Washington Capitals  (NHL), the  Washington Wizards  (NBA), and the  Washington Mystics (WNBA). Johnson is CEO of Salamander Hospitality, a company she founded in 2005. Salamander's portfolio includes Reunion Resort located in  Reunion, Florida ; The  Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club , a 900-acre (3.6 km 2 ), 72 hole  PGA tour  golf course

The Good Life Bessie Coleman  (January 26, 1892 – April 30, 1926) was an early American  civil aviator . She was the first  African- American woman and the first  Native-American  to hold a  pilot  license.She earned her pilot license from the  Fédération Aéronautique Internationale  on June 15, 1921, and was the first  black person  to earn an  international pilot's license . Born to a family of  sharecroppers  in  Texas , Coleman worked in the cotton fields at a young age while also studying in a small  segregated  school. She attended one term of college at  Langston University . Coleman developed an early interest in flying, but African Americans, Native Americans, and women had no  flight training  opportunities in the United States, so she saved and obtained sponsorships to go to  France  for flight school.  She then became a high-profile pilot in notoriously dangerous  air shows  in the United States. The Good Life Catherine Liggins Hughes  (born  Catherine Elizabeth Woods ; April 22, 1947) is an American entrepreneur, radio and television personality, and business executive. Hughes founded the media company  Radio One  (now known as Urban One), and when the company went public in 1999, she became the first African-American woman to head a publicly traded corporation. [1] In the 1970s, Hughes created the urban radio format called "The Quiet Storm" on Howard University's radio station WHUR with disc jockey and fellow Howard student  Melvin Lindsey .

The Good Life Yolanda Cornelia "Nikki" Giovanni was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on June 7, 1943, and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1960, she entered Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she worked with the school's Writer's Workshop and edited the literary magazine. After receiving her bachelor of arts degree in 1967, she organized the Black Arts Festival in Cincinnati before entering graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University. The Good Life                                                                                                                                                                   A  Snow Day A snow day, a day filled with laughter and joy, a day with a beautiful environment. The day where children build snowmen, make snow angels, go sledding, and have snowball fights. That is what we did three days in a row. On the second day, the ground, cars, plants/bushes, roofs, and roads were all filled with snow. My little cousin and I made a snowman head because we failed twice at building a full-figured snowman. After we played for about thirty minutes and my hands were freezing. When we got back inside the house, I could not feel my hands. I was not too far away from having frostbites which would have been very painful. Despite my hands almost freezing, we went out on the third day with a sled made of cardboard boxes and slid down the hill filled with lots of snow. We buried our sleigh to see how
